| So I am in the school's Miss Mustang Pageant. I guess I am supposed to be happy and excited that I get the oppurtunity to represent the school, but I am feeling more empty and alone than I have since I started this thing. Well....when I started this thing, I was one in twenty. With an amazing person and friend at my side. But then two people dropped out because of family and personal conflicts. So, we were two less than twenty, but I still had my good friend. Then, yesterday, another person denied her responsibility to her commitments. We were now seventeen.....but I still had my one good friend. Today, I realized that it had all been an act; a well played lie. And I fell for every word of it. See, this good friend decided (either on her own accord, or her mother's decision) to quit the Pageant. I had been quite sure that we were in this together. She didn't have a talent and wasn't totally prepared......so I ask, why did she wait untill she bought the $60 suit to drop out??? Why not get out while there was still not huge commitment??? I was wondering these things when I was pulled out of my trance by the sound of this good friend's voice. Now I know that this was not said good friend, because said good friend would not purposely yell at me. and certainly would not use profainity to provoke me. That is why I am sure that someone else had inhabited her body...an that person was cursing at me. So, I am glad that I had figured that out and there are no misunderstandings between myself and said good friend.........oh wait?? The only time I have heard of someone inhabiting another person's body, or taking the form of someone else, was in weird sci-fi books or in scary movies. So, when I wake up from this bad dream - or turn off this horrible move - will someone please let me know what I have missed while I was otherwise entranced???
On a happier note, My brother from Iraq is coming home soon!!! He should be here within a weeks time!!!
I cannot think of other happy news to say so I will leave you with this.......If you happen to be in the area (that is, Walnut Ridge) on Saturday, March 4th at 6:00 pm.....please stop by the Walnut Ridge Community Center to see the Hoxie Highe School Miss Mustang Pageant!!! I would love to see you all there!

| ok ok so christmas didn't go so bad after all...I mean we had friends over and we opened presents after going to church and all that fun stuff...I got a hair straightener, some clothes and make-up and phantom of the opera. | ok so I am going to try this blogging thing. I have never really been good at these kind of things, I usually prefer just writing in a notebook...then not everyone knows everything about me. I just got my driver's license. I guess that's exciting. Its December 23, and we just put up a christmas tree that I bought last night. to say that I'm not happy about all of this would be a mild understatement. You see, I am the only person in the house that was even remotly in the christmas sprirt. So I trimmed the tree that I bought, I soaked it over night in water, I put it in the tree stand, I decorated it, I put up christmas decorations, and everyone got upset with me when I decided it was pointless. That doesn't make any sense to me. I feel soo useless at times. This is why I think I am going to find an all-year school. I think that would suit me well. So...things that have happened to me since school let out::
- I completly cleaned my room (those of you who have seen it know what an amazing thing this is)
- I got my driver's license (I know, I know, :driver's beware: :D
- I got my hair cut (about to my colar bone)
- I bought a christmas tree
- I decorated the house (as stated above)
- I checked out 7 books from the library
- I wrapped the christmas presents
I guess I should feel accomplished but I really feel very empty. My mom and I fight a lot now. I wish we wouldn't...and on top of all of that-I feel as though the only person I thought I could talk to is running away from me.
wow! I can't wait for school to start back up so I can be rejected by the people I call friends!! I'm very sorry this entry is crabby...I told you- I'm not so good at these kind of things. well I think that's all for now. bye bye

| Hello all!
Do-Wop performances started last night. They went well. We did a matinee at 1:30 for the elementary kids. Then we had our real performance at 7:30 at the theatre.
I am excited for tonight and tomorrow. We start at 2 on Sunday and I bought my bestest friend a ticket so she could come and see it. We do lots of dancing and singing. It is a lot of fun.
If you happen to end up in the Walnut Ridge/Hoxie area, you should combe and see the show. Tickets are $6 for students and Senior Citizens(age 55+) or $8 for adults.
Do-Wop is a fifties variety show type thing. We have lots of solos and group numbers. There is dancing and singing and prizes. If anyone is in the area they should come ch-check it out.
The showings are 7:30 tonight and 2:00 on Sunday. I would get there about 15 minutes early so you can get good seats.
I heard from Dan today. He called and talked to the family. I miss him alot.
I will go now I have things I need to get done before tonight
